SEAL OFFICERS AND SEAL SNIPERS

QUESTION:  I wanted to be SEAL since I was little 8 or so. I'm 17 now and I’m almost out of high school and I was wondering on what I should do about the ROTC and schooling so I can be an Officer. I’m thinking I might wait till I'm a little older let me body grow a little and run a lot every day lift every day and I’ve been doing that SEAL workout on your website. I’m a wrestler so we got to do a lot of cardio for that but I want to be the most ready I can be for this, and also I’ve been trying to find out how to be a SEAL sniper but I cant seem to find anything about them ....

ANSWER:  Many guys choose to enlist and become Officers after a few years in the Teams. Many more Enlisted guys are SEALs and more Enlisted guys go to BUD/S. Officers have a tougher screening process getting into BUD/S so do your homework.  In a SEAL Platoon there are two Officers and fourteen Enlisted guy's.

A good SEAL friend of mine puts it this way, " A man needs to figure out if he wants to be a SEAL or an Officer." What he means by this is becoming an Officer, there's a good chance you won't be able to become a SEAL.

Our Officers are a cut above and the finest anywhere.  If that's your dream, go kick some ass and make it  happen...

Waiting is your choice, but I would not wait to long. If you want to be a SEAL, be a SEAL. A good plan today is better than a perfect plan tomorrow.

SEAL Snipers are just SEALs who go to SEAL Sniper school. Each platoon has at least two Snipers in it.

Good Luck..Don
