Survival Course Breakfast, Extreme SEAL Style.

Platoon Training is conducted after the completion of Hell Night. You have proven yourself and it's time to move on to the good stuff. No more harassment, it's time to see the other side of SEAL Team. This side is equally hard as it comprises the different skill sets that each SEAL has. It’s time for the Land Warfare phase. SEALs love a tough challenge......in this phase you’ll see what it’s like planning an assault and executing it.

You'll start by moving through dark thick swamps and woods to get to your "Objective." Little sleep, and food that you'll forage for, takes it up a notch. Being dependent on someone else and trusting your leaders will show you what the word teamwork really means and completing your missions will bring a sense of accomplishment few ever experience.

This three-day phase is very dynamic and tough, and it's important to note that this phase is not made for you or a different level of a person, it’s made for SEALs. We have set up countless SEAL operations and exercises all over the world in all environments for many years. This is just a few more and we'd honestly be proud for any SEAL Platoon to run the course.

This is not a "playing Army little war game." This will show you what SEALs do and how they do it. The class will, just like SEALs, be given very "loose reigns" to backdoor your opponents any way they see fit and do what they don’t expect you to do. The bottom line in dealing with your "opposing forces" here or as a SEAL is " When they least expect it, Expect it."

You and your opposition will be using Airsoft M-4 and AK style training weapons that shoot a projectile that really stings. When you get dinged by one, you’ll find cover fast, that’s a promise. And you’ll have to work together as a platoon to rout out the "booger eaters" from the targets. Hit hard, hit fast!

Description of Sundays Events/Commence Platoon Training:

After the graduation of Hell Night, students will get some well deserved rest. A light stretch PT and lunch are followed by Patrolling Techniques where the class will be broken down into fire teams for the upcoming night missions. Land Navigation classes will finish the night.

2000-2300 Night Patrol.

Tuesday begins with PT and a run. After clean up and breakfast, trainees will be given classes and practical work on constructing survival shelters, snares, fire starting, first aid, and food and water gathering in preparation to ready them for the survival course the next day.

Midday on Tuesday trainees receive a Warning Order "WO" for the missions and assaults that night. The WO alerts SEAL elements to an up coming mission and normally consists of who, what, when, where, and why, getting everyone focused on the mission. Assignments are then made and tasks performed to prepare for the operation. An in depth mission brief will be given to insure each team member understands what their job will be and what all other members will be doing. At the conclusion of the brief an evening meal will be served. The class will rehearse the mission and "Actions on the Objective." and then insert for the operation.

The class must hit their target undetected by a "Drop Dead Time," which is midnight. Without giving away the mission, the class will assault a heavily defended target. The defenders will not know when you are coming or from where, but they want to win as much as you and won’t go down without a fight. Very tough operation!

Tuesday:

0500-0700 PT Run

0700-0800 Clean Up/Breakfast/Gear Prep

0800-1200 Combat Survival Techniques Class/Practical

1200-1300 Lunch

1500-1800 Warning Order/Prep for Night Mission

1800-1900 Supper

1900-2000 Patrol Leaders Order/Insert Fire Teams/Commence Night Mission

After the Midnight assault, an administrative debrief will point out the strong and weak areas of the mission as well as "lessons learned." The class will then proceed to the next target and perform a "reconnaissance and raid" on Target Two. A good recon and well-planed raid are vital as failing this mission by being compromised means going hungry…compromise is unforgiving!

With the raid complete, the class will patrol to a predetermined "lay up point" and get their heads down for a few hours. The morning will begin with an in-field butchering and cooking lecture, where the class will prepare breakfast from the spoils of the raid.

Wednesday:

0001 Drop Dead Time/ Mission 1.

0001-0200 Patrol/Assault Target 2.

0200-0400 Patrol to LUP "Lay Up Point"

Broken down into fire teams, the class will select different areas and build shelters, gather wood and water, forage for food, and set traps, snares, and fish. During this 36 hours trainees will rely on each other as a team to pull together and survive on what they learned. No food will be given, it must be found and very minimal gear used.
